Sing When You’re Winning – Fulham Look Good Value To Spring A Surprise This Weekend

This week’s treble comes from the Premier League with a couple of surprise selections included, the pick of which, is Fulham to upset Man City at Craven Cottage.

The other upset is predicted to come in the form of Chelsea who can maintain their good start to the season by landing attractive odds at the Emirates.

In the third and final selection, we’re going for Martin O’Neill’s Sunderland to finally end a run of four draws from their first few games with victory at home to Wigan .

Fulham v Man City – Home Win @ 7/2

Fulham have played two and won two at home in the Premier League so far this season, scoring eight and have yet to concede in the process. Whilst the visit of Man City on Saturday will be their toughest game to date, Martin Jol’s side should be confident enough about making it three wins from three, even if it against the defending champions.

With Dimitar Berbatov seemingly somewhere close to being back to his best with two goals in two games, the Cottagers will be a match for anyone whilst the Bulgarian is on song and at 7/2 they look reasonable valuable for the win.

Man City are not finding the defence of their title particularly easy going and have produced a somewhat mixed bag of results from their opening five games, in fact, they have not won a match since 1st September and were dumped out of the League Cup this week by an inconsistent Aston Villa side.

It will only be a matter of time before City rediscover their winning formula but whilst they are not on song, we’re happy to call a shock result in this game.

Arsenal v Chelsea – Away Win @ 13/5

For many, the match of the weekend which could arguably go either way. Both teams are playing well and have unbeaten records in the league so far this season, however, it is Arsenal who seem to be the team who finds it the harder of the two to win games with three draws from five league games so far this season.

Chelsea have won four and drawn once in an impressive start from Roberto Di Matteo’s men. The team should have more improvement in it and they will be aware that three points at the Emirates on Saturday will put them seven points clear over their London rivals, quite a cushion so early in the season!

There’s no doubting that this will be close and whilst it could go any one of three ways, it’s always wise to side with value when margins are so tight and as such, Chelsea at 13/5 have to be the pick.

Sunderland v Wigan – Home Win @15/14

There will be many that will include this match as a draw on their coupons this weekend after the Black Cats have drawn their first four games. However, all sequences must come to an end and for Martin O’Neill’s side, the prospect of Wigan at home presents the perfect opportunity to convert one point in to three for the first time this season.

Due to the postponement of their first home game, Sunderland has only played one league game at the Stadium of Light this season and they can make home advantage count against Roberto Martinez’s side and at a fraction over even money (21/20) to do so, their inclusion in the treble makes sense.

At the odds, a case could be made for backing both Fulham and Chelsea as singles to win their matches but as we look for the first big win of the season, we’re siding with the treble at odds of 32/1 with Bet Victor.
