Diego Poyet Finds Out That Twitter Is Not His Friend

Wednesday 13th August 2014
Twitter must be the curse of managers up and down the country when players decide to share their views and opinions to the world, often forgetting that they are broadcasting to not only their followers but the audience gained when a tweet is re-tweeted and then picked up by news agencies, unless of course you are @JoeyBarton7 they this is the sort of thing you live for!.

The latest mishap on the social media platform that has come to light comes from Deigo Poyet (@diegopoyet7) the son of Sunderland manager Gus Poyet.

The 19 year old has just joined West Ham United on a four year deal and it was discovered on his Twitter time line that when Brighton (who were managed by his father at the time) had a match against West Ham he tweeted: "We hate West Ham #scum".

Not only that but he will soon be training with Andy Carroll, a player he decided to tweet his opinions about when he was a impressionable 16 year old!

Diego has since realised the error of his ways, and we are sure he will be more careful in the future!

We can only hope that he is not transferred to Manchester United in the foreseeable future.......
