Transfer Round-up 10/7

Monday 11th July 2011
Cole joins Stoke, Modric reopens the Chelsea saga and Villa are hutting down Hutton!

It wasn't a very busy day in the transfer world, the main headline would be about Modric looking for himself and Tottenham to go their separate ways. In my opinion, the "Modric to Chelsea" story could go on for a couple of years. As Fabregas is finally set to join Barcelona, "Modric to Chelsea" will be the story for many a summer to come. Either that or the Croatian will get his wish before the new season starts with Chelsea forking out a sum in the region of £30million.

Would it be a good deal for either Chelsea or Tottenham? Well for Chelsea yes it would as they have a top replacement if Lampard gets injured again. As for Tottenham, it would be a profit of over £10million but they would be loosing one of their best players and if Bale is to join Barca next year, there may be two new selling clubs in North London, very close to each-other.

Carlton Cole leaving West Ham isn't a surprise at all. Him going to Stoke isn't a surprise either. It's a very good bit of business for the recently relegated club as £6million could help bring in a couple of players, even better then Cole might I add, that have Championship experience and could get the Hammers promoted in their first season.

Another plus for West Ham is, that's one less player on massive wages on their books. And another that could move on soon is Rob Green to West Brom. Although the Baggies are also interested in Ben Foster.

Aston Villa will have a new player by the end of the week, he goes by the name of Alan Hutton. The Scot is expected to sign a 4 year deal and join up with his former manager, Alex McLeish. Harry Redknapp doesn't seem to mind loosing a player he's had at the club for the past four years, as he wants to try and make youngster Kyle Walker his first choice Right-Back.

Some inside information for you now,

Neymar to Real Madrid either in January or next summer.

Tevez will leave to Real this summer, and the Spanish giants will end up sending over Benzema with a lot of money to the Mancunian Club.

Nasri to Manchester City.

Fabregas will go this summer to Barcelona.

Sanchez has gone to Barcelona from Udinese, but won't be confirmed until after the Copa America.
