Can Leicester beat Sevilla in the Champions League Tonight?

Tuesday 14th March 2017
Leicester City are in good form as of late and ironically after Claudio Ranieri's departure. With the new appointment of Craig Shakespeare, Leicester fans will be wondering, could they be saved from relegation.

One other point is that Leicester are still in the Champions League. They play Sevilla in the last 16 but lost to them in the first leg, 2-1. Even though they lost the first meeting, it isn't a bad result as they will be playing Sevilla at home tonight. This match will follow a run of good form and surprising results after recent performances.
They are on a run of two straight wins, 3-1 against Liverpool and another 3-1 victory against Hull City. Leicester will be relying on key players such as Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez who have found the back of the net in recent times.

This fixture couldn't have come at a better time for the Foxes. Even though Sevilla themselves are doing tremendously well, especially in La Liga. They are currently outsiders in competing for the Spanish league title this season.

Sevilla will be relying on many key players as well like Leicester. Players like Steven N'Zonzi, Pablo Sarabia, Samir Nasri, Wissam Ben Yedder and Franco Vasquez just to name a few. Jorge Sampaoli's side will be aware of the form that Leicester are in at the moment and will probably take a cautious approach.
Craig Shakespeare will be keen to keep his squad level headed for the upcoming match. With a lot to play for he will be aware of the importance of a win tonight against the Spanish side.

Sevilla will be coming back off a recent run of lacklustre results. Draws against Deportivo Alaves and Leganes will be deflating for Sevilla fans but Leicester should not underestimate them.

With the away goal rule accounted for it will be very important for Leicester to bag the first goal of the game. This would give them the advantage as they already have the away goal. If Sevilla scores the first goal they would also have themselves an away goal but it would give them momentum in the game.

I believe it will be a game of tactical wits between the two sides and it will also be interesting how each team will set up. Will Leicester play their routine long ball game that they succeeded with last year? Will Sevilla rely on middle man Steven N'Zonzi for a solid central role?
If Leicester could pull this off it would be another miracle for them as many fans were asking questions about the decision of giving Ranieri the axe. Despite all the criticism and hatred towards players, it might be a good move. But I'm a football fan, many other football fans like yourselves will not accept what happened to Ranieri.

The only thing that drives a club these days is success. Leicester have been lacking that this season and tonight against Sevilla will be huge for the Foxes. I think that Leicester could beat Sevilla tonight and if they do how will everyone view Craig Shakespeare as their new manager?

For my sins, I'm a season ticket holder at Stoke City, I have been proud to watch them for over 20 years. I follow most of the UK leagues and the major European ones too, and I've been told that I talk way too much about football.
