Clarets, R's And Daggers Tipped To Have Winning Weekend

Friday 18th October 2013
As English fans across the nation celebrate Roy Hodgson's men qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, football fans will head into Saturday's games in high spirits and with the return of the Premier League and Championship likely to keep the feel good factor around for days to come, we are all set for a cracking weekend of football.

However, our treble this week veers away from the top flight and dives deep into the Football League as we try to pick out the value and this week's treble pays 20/1 with Bet Victor if all three selections prove correct.

Burnley to beat Ipswich @ 2/1

Burnley have propelled to the summit of the Championship with five wins on the spin and Sean Dyche's side can continue their sensational recent form at the weekend by getting the better of Ipswich Town at Portman Road and the 2/1 on offer with BetVictor is a cracking little flutter.

Unbeaten in nine games in all competitions, the Clarets have scored 20 goals in that time and they face an Ipswich side who have been struggling to shutout their opposition in recent weeks and hotshot Danny Ings could prove to be the catalyst for a sixth consecutive win for the visitors to remain top of the table.

QPR to beat Millwall @ 1/1

Queens Park Rangers are another side who have been amassing points with aplomb in the Championship and sit only one point behind Burnley at the top of the table and Harry Redknapp's flourishing side can continue their unbeaten start to the league season by getting the better of a stuttering Millwall side at the New Den.

Rangers frugal defence has been a major reason the Hoops have been unbeatable in the league so far and they haven't conceded a goal since mid-August! With them likely to have no problems notching against a Lions side who conceded five goals against Bournemouth last time out, the West London outfit are potentially the bet of the weekend at 19/20 to pick up the three points as they travel to the East of the capital.

Dagenham & Redbridge to beat Northampton @ 13/5

Northampton Town have been struggling to win in front of their home fans over the last couple of months and the Cobblers have seen themselves drift into the relegation zone of League Two and they may struggle to prise their way out at the weekend as they host a Dagenham & Redbridge side that is slowly moving up the table.

Five wins in seven league games has seen them venture to 13th place, only three points off the playoffs, and they have been scoring a lot of goals of late and they could well make the most of a flaky Northampton defence on Saturday afternoon the 13/5 about an away win is an attractive price for an in-form side against one that has just a solitary win in their last nine games and they can complete the weekend treble with a £10 bet paying a superb return of £216...

Mick is a passionate fan of Coventry City and has watched from the sidelines (and had the privilege of seeing the inner workings during an exciting two years in corporate sales there) to see the once mighty Sky Blues fall from the Premier League, then fail to sparkle in the Championship, relegated from League One and wind up in League Two before winning the most important fixture in football competitions - The Checkatrade Trophy final followed by a heart-stopping promotion back to League One.

As well as supporting the Sky Blues, Mick appreciates all levels of football and loves a good book to keep himself entertained as well as a few hours on FIFA or Football Manager as time allows.

He also keeps an eye on all the major English leagues and regularly enjoys a flutter looking for that elusive treble!
