Eden Hazard has the perfect chance to showcase his talent

Saturday 30th September 2017
Chelsea host Manchester City on Saturday as two of the Premier League's front-runners for the title take each other on. The match-up will see a host of talented players taking to the field in a game that could see a glut of goals and a lot of outstanding play.

It shows the pulling power of the two teams that even though the game will not feature Diego Costa due to his transfer to Atletico Madrid and Sergio Aguero because of his injury, the sides will still start with a number of the world's leading attacking-talents.

One such talent is Eden Hazard, and he is set to light up Stamford Bridge this evening.

The Belgian, who was missing for Chelsea in the first part of the season due to an injury, has been in superb form of late and his last game in the Champions league was testament to his ability. Atletico Madrid's Juanfran, who is a very experienced defender, had no answer to Hazard who ran him ragged on the right flank. He was rewarded for his efforts with an assist and a well-deserved 2-1 victory.
His performance was the talk of the night in Spain as the Chelsea fans lauded his display, while the Spanish fans were left cursing their luck that the Belgian hit top gear against them. Manchester City's fans will be hoping that his midweek exploits will not transfer into the Premier League this time.

However, the Belgian will know that the world is watching this one, and it is a perfect chance to display just how good he is.

With his ability on and off the ball, he will really fancy his chances against the likes of Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones who are not the best of centre-backs. Importantly for Hazard, Morata is also in fine form of late after hitting a hat-trick against Stoke last weekend and scoring against Atleti in the week. This means that the defence will not have just one player to deal with, as the dual threat of Morata and Hazard will prove very difficult to silence.

Finally, the game constitutes a chance for Hazard and his side to cut the gap on City. Following their tough opening day defeat to Burnley, Chelsea have been playing catch up and, with the standard City and United are currently hitting, a bigger points gap could prove insurmountable.

It is vital then that Chelsea do not lose this game as if they do, then the gap will have been stretched to six points, which will see the pressure pile onto Antonio Conte.

The game itself will hopefully be a great advert for Premier League football with two very different, but very talented sides going up against one another. Even though the two teams are packed with incredible players, the best player on the pitch is Eden Hazard. If he can hit the heights that he did against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, then he could prove the match winner for the London side.
