Liverpool's Squad Review - Who Stays and Who Goes in Goal

Saturday 16th June 2018

It’s close to three decades now since Liverpool last won the first tier title in English football. In fact, they have never won one in the Premier League era. They last took successive top four spots when Rafael Benitez was the manager. And that is a fact.

If that is the accepted bar, then Jurgen Klopp is doing pretty well, securing the fourth spot in two successive seasons. The German's success is predicated on attack power. Alternatively, any let-down has come from the defence and goalkeeping options.

Having completed both halves of Manchester in my Squad Review series, it's time to move on to Liverpool. In the first Reds instalment, the goalkeepers go under the microscope.
