Premier League Draws Can Pay Dividends This Weekend

Friday 20th September 2013
As the Premier League begins to get into top gear, clubs are still jostling for an early season position and at the moment, managers are certainly intent on trying to accumulate some points and this weekend's top flight fixture list could serve up a number of tight encounters and we have picked out a trio of games that could end all square and offers a treble around the 40/1 mark in the process.

Norwich City v Aston Villa – Draw @ 12/5

Both these team teams suffered disappointing defeats last weekend and have struggled to land a significant blow in the first four games and in particular, Aston Villa have failed to kick on from a superb opening day victory over Arsenal and are taken to come away from Carrow Road in Saturday's early kick off with a point as Villa boss Paul Lambert returns to his former club.

Norwich City were comfortably dispatched by Tottenham Hotspur last time out, but they have showed they are a tough nut to crack on home soil with a couple of decent performances in front of their own fans this season, drawing against Everton and beating Southampton. The Canaries should be capable of picking up at least a point and with Paul Lambert's Villa side appearing to do better on the road of late, then this can quite easily end up in parity after 90 minutes.

West Bromwich Albion v Sunderland – Draw @ 5/2

Paolo Di Canio has struggled at the helm of Sunderland this season and the Black Cats currently languish at the foot of the Premier League, but the enigmatic Italian will feel his side can bag their second point of the campaign when they head to the Hawthorns to take on an equally faltering West Bromwich Albion side.

Steve Clarke has failed to emulate last season's terrific start in the league and only a brace of draws has been recorded this year and the Baggies boss, like Di Canio, will be desperate to notch his first win of the season, but both have lacked guile and flare in the final third and this could mean it's a clash with very few chances, so the 5/2 about a draw looks a safe bet with Bet Victor.

West Ham United v Everton – Draw @ 12/5

Sam Allardyce's West Ham United have had a solid start to the new campaign and they notched their third clean sheet in four games when drawing 0-0 with Southampton last weekend, but their frailties up front in the absence of Andy Carroll have shown that they could be inline to register a number of draws until the former Newcastle and Liverpool frontman's return.

The Hammers welcome Everton to Upton Park on Saturday afternoon and Roberto Martinez's Toffees are another team who have made a steady start with a win and three draws in their four games, but last weekend's 1-0 win over title contenders Chelsea show that on their day they can beat the best.

Nevertheless, the three draws prior to that victory showed that they too are a side who are difficult to beat and this could be the third game of the weekend in the top division that ends in a draw and Bet Victor's 12/5 is the sensible flutter and can complete the treble, which if successful, a £10 stake will return a tasty £404.60!

As well as supporting the Sky Blues, Mick appreciates all levels of football and loves a good book to keep himself entertained as well as a few hours on FIFA or Football Manager as time allows.

He also keeps an eye on all the major English leagues and regularly enjoys a flutter looking for that elusive treble!
