Three signings Real Madrid must make this summer

Friday 24th March 2017
In December last year, Real Madrid had their controversial two-window  transfer ban dramatically reduced. Meaning that whilst they were prohibited from making signings in January, they are now legible to sign players in the summer. This ruling has put the whole of Europe on alert.

LW: Eden Hazard

As Cristiano Ronaldo continues to grow older in age, there will come a time where his unrivalled marketability will not be able to hide his faltering pace. Perhaps Zidane has already seen this, that's why the Portuguese forward has played more centrally this season. Ronaldo's unstoppable movement requires constant service, so why not sign one of the most creative players in the world in Eden Hazard?

Whether you rate his productivity or not, the Belgian is unmatched when it comes to creating chances for his teammates. This season alone, Eden has created 54 chances in 26 appearances. This kind of creativity is needed at the Bernabeu, just imagine a front three of Hazard, Ronaldo & Bale. Lightning pace, tricky dribbling and unmarkable final third movement.

RB: Serge Aurier

If you've watched Real Madrid over the past year and a half, you'll know that Zidane sees his full-backs as integral to build up play. Nowadays, Dani Carvajal & Marcelo are literally the heartbeats of Madrid's attacking play. The two are arguably the best in the world in their positions. But having the world's best in these positions means that when either get injured, the drop-off in quality is drastic.

Danilo is currently Madrid's 2nd choice right-back and he is simply awful. Serge Aurier is the perfect type of attacking full-back to help replicate the talents of Carvajal. The Ivorian is strong, athletic, pacey and always willing to make off the ball runs. If Madrid were to acquire the 24-year old's signature, it'd go long way to ensuring they have no weaknesses in their squad.

GK: David de Gea

Two weeks ago, Keylor Navas basically signed his own death warrant. The keeper cost Real Madrid a home victory over Las Palmas after a series of inexplicable blunders. The Madrid faithful have never been too keen on the Costa Rican keeper and this season his performances have only fuelled that hatred.

Madrid fans have wanted their fellow national David de Gea at the club ever since the infamous fax machine fiasco back in 2015. Since then the Spaniard has undoubtedly become the best shot-stopper in the world. Not only has he carried United through a tough time, he's retained professionalism throughout. However, it finally looks as though the 26-year old will be getting his dream move to the Bernabeu this summer.

Spanish newspaper Diario Gol claim that De Gea's girlfriend has been house-hunting in Madrid recently, adding more fuel to the speculation. It's reported that Manchester United would accept a bid in the region of £60m for the keeper, a fee Florentino Perez would be more than happy to pay.

Arsenal fan with ample amounts of passion for both Cristiano Ronaldo & Real Madrid. I'm one of those bandwagonist hipster fans that will claim to know everything about football, but only watches the El Clasico outside of the Premier League. Forgive me, I'm trying. Oh yeah, #WengerOut.
