The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations commences later today. Twenty-four countries battle it out for the prestigious trophy. Two years ago in the previous tournament, Cameroon engineered a minor upset to be crowned champions under Belgian Hugo Broos. The Indomitable Lions aim to repeat that success under Dutchman Clarence Seedorf. It won't be easy. Senegal, Ivory Coast, and hosts Egypt are all formidable. The intense heat of the first summer AFCON may be an even more daunting foe. Resiliency has been added to the list of requirements that already included skill, strength, speed, and guile.

The Premier League is well represented at AFCON alongside top talents from La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Eredivisie, Ligue 1, and Europe's other top divisions.

Here are the ten players most likely to be dangerous or influential.
