Twitter Reacts To Latest Luis Suarez Biting Incident

Wednesday 25th June 2014
Like many viewers of the World Cup match between Uruguay and Italy last night we were left shocked by the latest biting incident by Luis Suarez against the Italian Giorgio Chiellini. This follows the current Liverpool players previous biting incidents, the first was in 2010 when he was Ajax he was found guilty of biting PSV Eindhoven midfielder Otman Bakkal then in 2013 he was banned again for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.

The player is now under investigation from FIFA over the latest incident, the maximum ban that Suarez could face would be 24 matches or two years.

Bookmakers Paddy Power have even created a market for how long Luis Suarez will be banned for.

As expected the social media platform Twitter once again has showed us how quick it is to react to situations like this and among the comedians there were some clever companies that took advantage of the situation.

One of the best must go to UK based opticians Specsavers.
However McDonalds in Uruguay may have gone one better:
The translation reads: "Hello @luis16suarez, if you are hungry come to give you a bite of a big Mac ;)"

We will finish off and let Snickers have the last say:
Mick Bates

Mick is a passionate fan of Coventry City and has watched from the sidelines (and had the privilege of seeing the inner workings during an exciting two years in corporate sales there) to see the once mighty Sky Blues fall from the Premier League, then fail to sparkle in the Championship, relegated from League One and wind up in League Two before winning the most important fixture in football competitions - The Checkatrade Trophy final followed by a heart-stopping promotion back to League One.

As well as supporting the Sky Blues, Mick appreciates all levels of football and loves a good book to keep himself entertained as well as a few hours on FIFA or Football Manager as time allows.

He also keeps an eye on all the major English leagues and regularly enjoys a flutter looking for that elusive treble!
