Weekend Treble Features Four Of Top Teams In League One

Friday 15th November 2013
With Internationals on the go this weekend the normal fixture list of the Premier League and Championship has gone leaving us with the lower end of the Football League to contend with.

With that in mind this weeks coupon will concentrate on teams featured in the top half of the League One table where dependant on results it could see teams changing quite a few spaces in the table.

A £10 stake with bookmakers Victor Chandler could see a return of £132.60!

Brentford v Crewe, home win @4/9

This a match between two teams at the opposite end of the League One table, Brentford go into match unbeaten in their last four games whilst Crewe have only won twice in their last 10 outings in the league and have lost their last two games on the bounce. The only way I can see this game ending is with Brentford taking all three points.

Leyton Orient v Preston North End, draw @13/5

It's not very often that I will pick a draw on the weekly coupon but this match looks like it could go that way with both teams having a great season so far and both looking difficult to defeat. League leaders Orient have only managed to lose once so far this season and that was against the inform Coventry City. However when this could have stopped their momentum they managed to get themselves straight back into winning ways (in the League anyway) and have since claimed maximum points however their last match in the Cup against lowly Stevenage might have seen their egos bruised.

Preston go into the game on the back of an impressive run of five games unbeaten and are currently sitting comfortably in fourth place in the table but will be without the services of forward Stuart Beavon who is serving the first game of a three-match ban which he picked up during the Lilywhites 6-nil thrashing of Conference side Barnet.

Bradford City v Coventry City, away win at 31/20

After a good start to the season Bradford have faltered of late not winning a match in their last five outings, their last three points came on the 5th October away to Walsall and it's hard to see their luck changing on Sunday when they welcome Coventry to Valley Parade.

Coventry are the surprise team of the season in League One, docked 10 points and with no permanent home you could have easily written off Stephen Pressley's side as relegation contenders however the Scotsman has injected new life into the Midlands club which has seen the team climb to 11th place in the table and just three points off the playoffs. The team has also supplied the League with two of its top goal scorers in Leon Clarke and Callum Wilson with both on 11 league goals each. Coventry as a team have managed to score an impressive nine goals while only letting two goals in.
Mick Bates

Mick is a passionate fan of Coventry City and has watched from the sidelines (and had the privilege of seeing the inner workings during an exciting two years in corporate sales there) to see the once mighty Sky Blues fall from the Premier League, then fail to sparkle in the Championship, relegated from League One and wind up in League Two before winning the most important fixture in football competitions - The Checkatrade Trophy final followed by a heart-stopping promotion back to League One.

As well as supporting the Sky Blues, Mick appreciates all levels of football and loves a good book to keep himself entertained as well as a few hours on FIFA or Football Manager as time allows.

He also keeps an eye on all the major English leagues and regularly enjoys a flutter looking for that elusive treble!
