Who says English teams struggle in Europe? All six Premier League sides who took part in the last round of the Champions League and Europa League progressed, in what was a memorable fortnight for the beautiful game in the country of its birth.
Where else to start but with the North-Western sides who overcame adversity to book their place in the hat. Both Manchester United and Liverpool recorded impressive away victories against Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich respectively. Dumping two favourites out in the process. Then, you have Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. Pep Guardiola's men were dominant against a struggling Schalke, while Spurs were simply scintillating, beating an immensely talented Borussia Dortmund comfortably.
In terms of the Europa League, Arsenal overturned a 3-1 first-leg deficit to qualify, largely thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's best superhero impersonation. Chelsea found it comfortable against Dynamo Kyiv as Maurizio Sarri looks to steady the ship.
Today, the draw for the quarter-final stages were made. Whoever these teams were drawn against, it was going to be difficult. Inevitably, we've also been treated to one all-English tie - in what promises to be an absolute cracker for fans of all involved.
