Wins for Ipswich Town, Wycombe Wanderers & Burton Albion make up our coupon this weekend

Friday 6th February 2015
After an elongated Christmas break, Michael is back with his weekly accumulator picks, this week he looks to the Football League for inspiration.

Football clubs across the UK will be keeping their eye on the weather forecast as the current cold snap could well leave games in jeopardy, but hopefully it can warm up over the next few days and we can try and land a cracking treble with BetVictor that pays just over 13/1 and a £20 bet would return you a cracking £290.70

Ipswich Town to beat Rotherham United – 7/5 BetVictor

Ipswich Town's title charge has just hit a sticky patch over the last couple of weeks, but Mick McCarthy's men can return to winning ways on Saturday afternoon, as they can outclass a Rotherham United side that are very hit-and-miss in the Championship at the moment and BetVictor is 7/5 about an away win is the way to go.

The Tractor Boys were held to a goalless draw last weekend by Wigan Athletic, but they have rarely drawn a blank and with the Millers having conceded with ease in recent weeks then it could be an opening for the hefty firepower of Ipswich to recapture their goal-scoring form and do the double over their opponents this season.

Wycombe Wanderers to beat Cambridge United – 31/20 BetVictor

Wycombe Wanderers have racked up a trio of draws on the spin, but they can get back to winning ways as they face a Cambridge United side fresh from a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup in midweek, and the home side could well find it tough to get up for this weekend's League Two clash against the high-flying Chairboys.

Gareth Ainsworth's Wanderers have only conceded one goal in their last five matches and whilst they have struggled in front of goal in recent weeks, they edged this corresponding clash by the solitary goal earlier in the campaign and they could well secure the double over Cambridge and BetVictor's 31/20 is an attractive bet to land a double with the aforementioned Ipswich.

Burton Albion to beat Cheltenham Town – 11/8 BetVictor

Burton Albion have been in sparkling form in recent weeks and a string of positive results have seen them cement second place in League One, with Shrewsbury just ahead of the Brewers on goal-difference, and they can duly put more pressure on their rivals on Saturday by securing three points with a win over Cheltenham Town.

Available at 11/8 with BetVictor, Burton were 1-0 winners when the sides last met and the Robins have failed to taste victory in their last four matches, so will head into their weekend clash devoid of any confidence.  So, Burton can maintain their fine recent run and not only bag the win, but also complete our 13/1 treble for this weekend.

Mick is a passionate fan of Coventry City and has watched from the sidelines (and had the privilege of seeing the inner workings during an exciting two years in corporate sales there) to see the once mighty Sky Blues fall from the Premier League, then fail to sparkle in the Championship, relegated from League One and wind up in League Two before winning the most important fixture in football competitions - The Checkatrade Trophy final followed by a heart-stopping promotion back to League One.

As well as supporting the Sky Blues, Mick appreciates all levels of football and loves a good book to keep himself entertained as well as a few hours on FIFA or Football Manager as time allows.

He also keeps an eye on all the major English leagues and regularly enjoys a flutter looking for that elusive treble!
