The young Premier League Stars impressing on loan

Wednesday 11th January 2017
We all know that the Premier League is full of great young talent. A credit to every academy and youth team setup across the league. And with the recent news that Chelsea have recalled defender Nathan Ake from Bournemouth, here are some other youngsters who are seriously impressing away from their parent clubs.

Tammy Abraham

Parent Club: Chelsea

On Loan At: Bristol City
Halfway into his loan spell at Ashton Gate, Tammy Abraham has become integral to the way Bristol City play. In his first three games, he scored three goals and caught the eye of many Bristol City and Chelsea fans. Under Lee Johnson City started the season well, they were in the play-offs in September but a poor run of form has seen them slide to 18th, just two points from the relegation zone. Despite that, Abraham has 17 goals in 30 games, a very impressive return.

Has he merited enough to push for a place in Chelsea's starting 11 next season? With Diego Costa on fire and Michy Batshuayi waiting in the wings, it would take a lot of good fortune and maybe a tactical change from Antonio Conte for Abraham to force his way in.

Patrick Roberts

Parent Club: Manchester City

On Loan At: Celtic
The young English winger moved on loan to Celtic last February and isn't due back at City until the summer. With a deal that could see City potentially paying over £12 million, big things are expected of the former Fulham man. Playing under Brendan Rodgers, Roberts has blossomed into a creative, dynamic player providing goals and assists as Celtic charge towards the SPL title. He has also shown he can handle the pressure of Champions League games having scored against Manchester City at The Etihad for Celtic in a 1-1 draw.

A promising English winger. If he was given a chance in the City team his potential will shine through and he has the talent to become a regular England international.

Izzy Brown

Parent Club: Chelsea

On Loan At: Huddersfield (Previously at Rotherham)
A player who can play anywhere across a front three is a player that many teams will desire. Izzy Brown is that player. He can play up front and on the right wing, but it's on the left where he has been most successful. He joined Championship side Rotherham in August where he impressed scoring three and providing four assists. This form merited Brown a move to fourth place Huddersfield where he has slotted straight into David Wagner's side.

It might be slightly too soon for Brown to be making his mark at Chelsea, it might take another loan for Brown to really impress Conte.

Andreas Pereira

Parent Club: Manchester United

On Loan At: Granada
If Jose Mourinho wants to purchase a creative midfielder with an eye for a pass then he may want to consider recalling Andreas Pereira from Granada. A recent performance against Real Madrid left United fans purring and singing his praises. He may have only scored the one goal for the Spanish side but he has created 22 chances and has a pass rating exceeding 75%. The Brazilian is full of tricks too, only adding to his range of skills.

With the likes of Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford all getting chances under Mourinho, Pereira might be due a shot at the big time and with Mourinho at the helm, he will only improve.
